Alena Smith is a 3D animation student and 2D artist studying at Drexel University. Most of her past experience has been in drawing and design. She has recently gained 3D modeling and texturing experience from her classes. In high school she had the opportunity to work in a variety of traditional mediums including ceramics and sculpting with sheet metal and plaster.
Through Drexel she has learned basic rigging and 3D animation, and some experience in making storyboards. She has made a couple of short animated scenes that display her growth in learning to animate, rig, and learning how to create a workflow for herself. She has only been learning 3D modeling and basic animation for the past 2 years and knows that there is still so much left to learn.
Currently Alena is working on a passion project of hers which is writing and making concept art for a dark fantasy webcomic she wants to create. She currently lives in Philadelphia furthering her studies. The best way to reach Alena is through email at ars569@drexel.edu.
