Story of a Mother -Ending – Original Story by Hans Christian Anderson – Adapted by Oliver Kim

Mother stands at edge of a frozen lake unable to cross.
Mother on the ground defeated.
She decides to try and drink the lake dry in order to get across.
The lake speaks to mother telling her to give the lake her eyes and it will let her cross.
Mother literally cries her eyes out.
Her eyes are given to the lake by falling in.
Mother is able to cross the lake.
Mother steps into a garden.
She traverses the garden disoriented and searching for her dead son.
An old woman tells stops her.
The old woman tells her she can stay in the garden for a price.
The old woman asks for her hair.
Mother agrees, giving the final piece of herself.

Alena Smith is a 3D animation student and 2D artist who graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science in Animation and Visual Effects.

She has worked on multiple projects in After Effects as an intern for FNT LLC. Working for Joteva Studios as an intern she learned Houdini and worked on the project Spectral Sea. Wanting to expand her knowledge about other work pipelines her senior project was for a game called Memorium, designing and creating the enemy characters.
